If you are a Life Coach I would like to talk with you. I’m looking to determine if You Are Videos would be a helpful and effective tool in the life coaching process.
I’m interested in this because of something I’ve seen in doing You Are Videos for the past few years:
- When a person is acknowledged for being special in someway (you are amazing, beautiful, a great friend, etc), that person usually says something like “Thank you” and then then quickly thinks something like “well you don’t really know me”, “that’s not true” or some other version of the internal brick wall that stops them from really accepting or believing the praise.
- But when there are 20, 30 or 40 people all saying something similar to that person in a short period of time, that internal brick wall brakes down. This happens every time You Are Videos are show and results in laugher, joy and tears.
- Of course, being human that brick wall goes back up in a few days but after the video there is a tiny crack in it. The receiver can no longer completely deny that they there a person with unique and special traits and that those traits aren’t seen by their community.
I’m not a life coach but it appears to me that this may be a helpful approach for someone seeking out a life coach. The question would become not “how can I become someone who is special in someway” but rather “What’s stopping you from living into that all ready existing life or listening of yourself”?
I have no true evidence that this would be effective at all so I’m looking for a few life coaches that would like to experiment with their clients. I can create the videos for your clients and you could determine if they are helpful in their coaching practice.
